that's the word for it.
and this i confused with 'love' - or with 'falling in love'.

i realize now that hanging on to someone might not have anything to do with actually loving.
in my case, it rather meant depending on someone.
becoming dependent on some stranger.

love is not about that at all. it’s not about dependence, it is about commitment.
love is mutual.
at least, that is what it is supposed to be.

if it is not mutual, it is not love, therefore it is just a waste of time.
beeing emotionally attached, that is.
